Soo Bahk Do
We teach a Korean style martial art Called Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan (also known as Tang Soo Do), But if your new to martial arts I understand at this point this means absolutley nothing to you. As a beginner the best thing for you and your family is to come along to one of our classes and find out if martial arts is for you. There's no obligation to join, just professional, fun and friendly martial arts tuition at its best.
Soo Bahk Do is not a sport - it is a classical martial art. Our school is a member of the UKSBD™ Federation which is officially recognised by the World Moo Duk Kwan Inc™ to represent all Soo Bahk Do™ Moo Duk Kwan™ activities in the UK.
So, as you become a member of our school, you are also becoming a member of UKSBD and you are part of the World Moo Duk Kwan Inc and your achievements are recognised worldwide.
The UKSBD™ Federation remains true to the ideas and philosophy set out by the Soo Bahk Do™ Moo Duk Kwan™ Founder Hwang Kee. We teach and maintain the rigorous standards set out in the Moo Duk Kwan™ syllabus.
The UKSBD™ Federation is made up from its member organisations. Member organisations must demonstrate they adhere to the goals and principles outlined in its constitution. Every member organisation is represented on the Federation Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).
Each member organisation is responsible for ensuring their students meet the promotional requirements of the Moo Duk Kwan™ syllabus. Promotional Certificates from 10th (Ship) to 1st (Il) Geup are issued by the UKSBD™ Federation. Students will be issued with a Federation Membership number on joining. Dan Certificates (and Dan Numbers) will be issued by the World Moo Duk Kwan Inc™.
The official UKSBD™ web site (uksbd.org) will be maintained as a central reference point for all Federation information.
